Director of Distribution

Alpha Omega Publications, a division of Glynlyon, is conducting a nationwide search for a Director of Distribution Sales with the abililty to work remotely or be based out of Chandler, AZ. This position will provide strategy, process, and direction, to our distribution/wholesale division in order to deliver maximum sales.  The Director of Distribution Sales will also be responsible for  business development and meeting a sales quota. 

Reports To: Senior Vice President of AOP

Supervises: Account Representatives, Divisional Sales and Service Team 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop new relationships and wholesale distribution channels
  • Develop and implement strategies to continually increase and improve each of our current account's business
  • Actively work with SVP to develop and manage to key sales metrics pipeline management, bookings/revenue reporting, account assignment, quota management and sales productivity metrics
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales targets for your sales division; projecting expected sales volume and profit
  • Maintain weekly sales forecast and achieve/exceed quota to ensure revenue objectives. Work with sales staff on coaching/training and strategies to achieve their goals
  • Engage with marketing and sales development to optimize the lead generation/qualification process
  • Understand and maintain a thorough knowledge of our company's products, customers, services, culture, and history
  • Actively participate with all large client accounts/sales
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, operations, and customer experience on needs, updates, and market demands to keep the sales team fluent and progressive
  • Partner with the executive team to develop and refine corporate sales strategy
  • Develop actionable sales strategies in all phases of the selling process to achieve agreed-upon targets and performance metrics
  • Verify and maintain the integrity of the brand and pricing policies 
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of wholesale and distribution methods and best practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be highly organized and able to prioritize
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects
  • Ability to work in a highly interactive, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively & professionally with individuals at all levels
  • Strong reading, writing, editing, and research skills

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of distribution and/or wholesale experience required

Work Environment/ Physical Demands:

  • General office environment
  • May be sitting for periods of 3-6 hours at a time
  • Work involves extended periods of computer use
